SLAC Day 6

I wasn't originally going to post today cause I thought nothing interesting would happen. I started off doing the normal boring tast of finding papers and printing them out, indexing other papers, and the like. Fortunately my day got more interesting as I got to play with so broken parts which had melted off in the PEP II region. My primary job was to just imput data (boring...), but I also had to photograph and index some radioactive material. Ok, so in all honesty, it wasn't very radioactive, .02 mrem/h. The average human gets 60 mrem/year and i held it for about 2 hours, so i got an extra .02mrem. Nothing noticeable. But it was radioactive enough for it to be labeled and stored in clean room, which I also got to go into. So in reality, what I did today was not different that normal, but atleast it gave me the impression that it was different!

This is a really cool design site, and you'll probably enjoy this. There's an AWESOME measuring cup! Probably really expensive though. And the tables and bags are very original.
