SLAC Day 4

Whew, a lot more work today. I first had to look up about 20 designs nad print them out. Unfortunately this isn't your normal print out. The printouts are these gigantic poster-like papers. I then cut them out and skimmed them down. Afterwards my boss chose certain parts which needed to be redesigned and gave it to me. I spent 2 hours learning about 5 functions in the design program (called Solid Edge - all you future mechanical engineers, heed my warning - this program is a pain in the butt). I then spent the next hour and a half actually designing the pieces. It was actually quite interesting, minus the frustrating search for buttons.
