New Face of Journalism
It's a scary thought that TIME magazine is turning over confidential documents to the US government. Historically, news agencies have always valued their need to protect their sources over the government's need for information. This has never been more apparent than the recent unveiling of the identity of Deep Throat. Felt (Deep Throat) would have never revealed information about the Nixon scandal had he not been certain that his identity would remain concealed. The actions by TIME break this confidence, deterring future sources from coming forth. This is a dangerous precedence that is being set.
