SD -> LA

After waking up at 7:00 on Friday for diversity day performance (check it out) and busting our asses off three times, the bhangra team went out for indian buffet at a restaurant on the corner of Lawrence and Homestead (I forgot the name). Definitely excellent food, although I haven't had that much Indian food to make sound judgement. In any case, I stuffed myself with tandoori chicken, shani poori, and nan (I know, my spelling of the indian food is as bad as the stomach ache I had afterwards).

Afterwards, I went home, finished packing, and Nayson, Vanessa, Lorraine and I took an 8 hour car ride down to SD.

Saturday was admit day at SD, where it seemed like half of Monta Vista goes. I met up with Kevin, a family friend, who showed me around sixth college and SD in general. It definitely made me excited for college. The freedom and responsibility is something I look forward to. It's also how I reccomend getting acquainted to a college. Tour guides generally try to sell you the school, most often your friends do not (at least not so blatantly).

Sunday morning, we drove to LA and just walked around with Pam and Tiff, both graduates of MV now at UCLA. Again, got an excellent feel for the school. It seems unlikely that I will go here. Although the campus is beautiful and the people are nice, it just doesn't give me the same feel as SD, which was much more relaxed. Afterwards, we went to Santa Monica and got some good food and called it a night.

So far, this trip has further developed my anticipation for college. It's been one hell of a week, but it's been fun.
