Rugby

On Monday, a bunch of us went to memorial park and played rugby. To be honest, it wasn't really rugby because we didn't know many of the rules. We just kinda made them up as we went along.

The first thing I realized while playing is that I'm HORRIBLY out of shape. I can usually run around for a while without a problem, especially in the rain. After sprinting across the field once, I quickly realized that was no longer the case.

The second thing I realized while playing is that being big really really really helps. Now some of you may be saying "Duh, Edward...p=mv so with a greater mass, they're naturally going to have more momentum, and assuming and inelastic collision, the smaller person is going to move backwards." but you'll never fully understand it until Thomas runs straight at you (he's apprx 200 pounds, I'm about 120).

As you can imagine, I'm quite bruised, even 3 days after the game. My car still smells like a wet dog and my shirt is permantently stained. Regardless, I had a wonderful time, and can't wait to get out on the field again.
