SLAC Day 10

So I'm back to work after a very fun vacation. It's really hard to work after playing for so long. On top of that I had a horrible night sleep. Ever have a dream that isn't really a nightmare, but everything that happens in it makes you uncomfortable so you feel miserable in the morning? O well. Anyways, I was sitting from about 7:45 to almost 12:00 doing nothing. I surfed the net and read Animal Dreams. Animal Dreams is definitely not a feel-good book. Atleast I'm almost halfway through my summer reading, which is more than I can say for what I did for APUSH last year.

I finally got some work which was quite fun. I made more models and then made drafts of the models to be sent off to the machining department. There's something cool about knowing that your work will result into something tangible. Even cooler, the draft will have my name on it for as long as it exists. Even if people revise it, I'm still attributed as the primary drafter. It's not so much the recognition as it is the noveltly of having your name on an official mechanical design drawing.

Anyways, I'm doubting I have much more work now as all the people I work with are gone. I guess I'll sit around and read for a while then who knows what I'll do.
